We're Excited about our New "By the WAY" Subpage...where Dianna shares a Sermonette of the Month...for Inspiration and Education for a New Level of Spiritual and Natural SUCCESS in LIFE!
Here's her JUNE 2016 Posting (from her "Over the Rainbow" Newsletter):
How many times do we hear others say “I just don’t have the time to spend with God like I would like to”? Have you heard others say it more times that you can count or have you been guilty of it yourself? Did you make yet another New Year’s Resolution declaring that this Year would be different but yet still find yourself with the same old excuses?
Most of us have heard the saying that the definition of insanity is “Doing the same thing you’ve always done but expecting different results”. Well, obviously the solution to this issue is to do something different for different and new results.
If we want our relationship with God to grow and we want Him to do greater, better and more powerful things through our lives, then it is going to require putting aside all of our tired reasons for not spending time with Him and simply making it happen. (Psalm 27:8). What in our lives could be greater or more important than the time we spend with our creator getting to know Him better and thus understanding better who we are in Him. (St. Luke 10:41&42).
God wants us to spend the necessary time with Him to learn more about Him and to know, understand and stand on the promises He has just for His very own. (Psalm 32:8). As we push aside the demands of the day and manage to go to God in true communion and fellowship, it allows Him to teach us and show us His unselfish and Unconditional Love. As we begin to nourish our relationship with Him we begin to feel secure and complete in Him. As we study the ordered steps of His son Jesus we learn how to live Holy in an unholy world.
Our personal, individual and private time with God is our lifeline and our only true means of not just survival but revival for ourselves and for others. The good news according to His word is as we seek Him and Him first and foremost and His righteousness, then everything else that we can begin to think that we need is added to us. (Matthew 6:33).
